Role Overview:
The Coil Brazer Personnel is responsible for attaching u-bends, headers, and distributors using pattern diagrams, then soldering components onto heat exchange coils. All soldered joints must be complete and leak-free before passing the coil to pressure test.

Maintain Work Environment
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Reading and Comprehension
- Read and understand engineering drawings and bills of material to accurately perform brazing tasks.

Soldering and Quality Control
- Use a gas torch to melt and apply solder along the edges of workpieces, ensuring all solder joints are complete and leak-free.
- Check work to ensure quality standards are met.

Measuring
- Read a tape measure down to 1/16 of an inch to ensure accurate measurements.

Tool Care and Maintenance
- Properly care for tools and equipment, and notify maintenance if any equipment is not working properly.

Time and Attendance
- Accurately charge time in the time and attendance system on the computer to ensure correct labor distribution and payroll.

Work Schedule and Teamwork
- Work overtime as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Follow manufacturing instructions, work independently without constant supervision, and complete job assignments on time.
- Attend work regularly and arrive on time.
- Contribute to team efforts by collaborating with others in the department and across other departments.

Compliance
- Comply with government regulations, company policies, and procedures.
- Utilize IFS system for daily operations, including logging in, reviewing assigned work, and maintaining accurate records
- Complete and clear IFS shop orders in a timely and accurate manner to support production tracking and reporting
- Participate in and complete required IFS training to ensure proper system usage and compliance
- Complete tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Desired Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
A high school diploma is desired to support upward advancement within the company. The employee must be able to understand directions from supervisors.
Skills:
The ability to read a tape measure down to 1/16 of an inch, select necessary tools and equipment for the job, and control operations of equipment. Must possess arm-hand steadiness, manual dexterity, near vision, wrist-finger speed, and information ordering. Monitoring performance to make improvements or take corrective action is also essential.
Certificates, Licenses, or Training:
On-the-job training (OJT) provided.
Level/Grade:
- Beginning Level Solder: Meets minimal quality standards, needs more time to complete work than estimated.
- Proficient Level Solder: Meets quality standards, completes work within estimated hours.
- Advanced Level Solder: Meets quality standards, completes work in less time than estimated, and can answer questions and solve problems as they arise.

Working Environment:
Work is performed in a heavy industrial production area, where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is generally high, and employees may be exposed to extreme temperatures during both winter and summer. There may be stress related to meeting deadlines and quality standards.
