THE POSITION
● Reports to: Director of Engineering and Construction.
● Responsible for: Maintaining, troubleshooting, and securing the organization’s
technological infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks at all
locations. Provide end-user support, manage user accounts, install systems, and
ensure cybersecurity protocols are followed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Day to Day Operations
● Immediate, down the hall response when there are issues.
● On site assistance with Audio/ Video Equipment for the following areas:
o Bunker
o Welcome Center
o Expo Center
o Admin Conference Room
o Admin Board Room
o Admin Marketing Room
o Water Treatment Plant
o Waste Treatment Plant
● Technical equipment management (Printers, cameras, speakers) for all facilities
● Oversee security, uptime, and performance of network systems supporting water, wastewater, airport, and operational facilities.
● Provide IT coordination for SCADA and monitoring systems for water and wastewater.
● Assist leadership with strategic IT planning for Infrastructure expansion and mega-site development.
● Coordinate with external partners to ensure system interoperability and server access.
● Other Duties as assigned.
Security
• Oversee network security across all facilities for proper access controls and threat monitoring.
• Monitor server health and perform periodic testing to ensure proper start up process and operational monitoring.
• Implement cyber security controls and conduct regular vulnerability assessments.
• Provide phishing and spam tests to staff through emails.
• Manage antivirus, firewalls, and threat detection systems.
• Manage off-site data storage and backup.
• Enforce mandatory shutdowns/restarts to ensure Windows and security updates are applied.
Access Control/Cameras
• Provide management support for access control systems across all facilities (all buildings, Admin, WP, WWTP, The District, Expo, Airport, COE, etc.)
• Management and support with fire alarms in all buildings (including all owned/leased buildings).
• Assign codes, add/delete users for access control and security apps.
• Maintain and update access control software as needed.
• Review and retrieve security camera data upon request.
• Maintain camera system functionality and camera software updates.
• Work with external partners to develop a maintenance schedule for camera replacement/issues.
Software/Warranties
• Manage current warranties on all equipment with Dell.
• Support of all software including AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe, Office 365, etc.
• Support digital tools used for industrial recruitment and site-selection communities.
• Provide technological support for field operations, mobile devices, and asset systems.
• Support MAIP websites, digital communications, and public-facing platforms.
Maintain software for learning labs, including annual security updates.
Inventory
● Inventory control for all equipment. Laptops, tablets, monitors, Server, Plotter, etc. all need to be cataloged and controlled.
● Implement a cyclic replacement program for all hardware. This would require the knowledge of operating systems and serial numbers that would be included in the inventory.
● Knowledge of what specs are required when ordering new equipment based on needs and price.
● Annual budgeting for technology and updates for all facilities.
Phones/Internet
● Maintain Wi-Fi/internet security, including troubleshooting outages and issues.
● Manage phones, internet, etc.
● Identify areas requiring cellular signal boosting issues.
