Position Summary
The Projects Sales Director is responsible for sales management duties for the dedicated projects sales team within an assigned territory or region. Project Sales Director responsibilities include developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans. Successful execution of these strategies is required to achieve your financial targets through the performance of your team. Sales Director duties will include hitting annual targets, building relationships and understanding customer trends. This role reports to the Sr. Vice President of Sales.
Core Responsibilities
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Assigned project Sales Teams located in branches throughout the US and/or assigned territory.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Own and hit/exceed annual sales targets within assigned team, territory and accounts
- Develop and manage the performance of team to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base
- Establishes prospecting and sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
- Effectively communicate and coach the value proposition and differentiators of Marmic.
- Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
- Understand category-specific projections and trends
- Maintains sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Maintains sales staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Develop account and deal strategies that increase service attach rates and align with overall business strategy.
- Monitor and manage pricing strategy to align with current market conditions and profitability targets Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.
- Effectively work with Regional VIce Presidents, Branch Managers and Installation VP to provide forecasts and high priority deal reviews.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Sales forecasting and reporting within CRM
- Assist in qualifying projects (work with operations to understand Go-No Go type of projects) focus on owner driven and where service opportunities exists
- Steer sales team to type of work needed based on branch backlog, direct and sub contractor labor availability. Know day to day and month to month workforce availability across branches and regions to drive quick turn and profitable projects.

Minimum Qualifications
Required Skills & Abilities
- Previous experience as a sales executive, sales manager, or sales director
- Proven sales experience, meeting or exceeding targets
- Ability to work independently and lead a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Ability to communicate, present, and influence at all levels of the organization, including the executive team
- Proven ability to manage the sales process and stages from plan to close
- Proven ability to position products against competitors
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact professionally in high-stress situations
- Must be well-organized and a self-starter
- Must be able to comply with and enforce company policies and procedures
- Detail-oriented, professional attitude, and reliable
- Proficient in Excel, Google Sheets, Microsoft Word, and Google Docs
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience in upper management or equivalent professional experience
- 5 years of experience in projects and contractor/construction sales and/or service
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Travel Requirements:
- Up to 50% overnight travel to spend time in the field with sales teams located throughout the US.
- Ideally, the Director of Sales will live in close proximity to a major US airport.
