The Temporary Technician I – HVAC supports the maintenance and operation of HVAC systems across company facilities. This entry-level role assists the HVAC team with routine maintenance tasks, including changing filters, cleaning equipment, and supporting basic repair activities to ensure systems operate efficiently and safely.

Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

• Assist the HVAC dept with maintaining equipment in office buildings.
• Duties will include changing filters, cleaning equipment, and assisting with repairs.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures when performing all tasks to minimize risk and ensure a safe work environment.
• Perform tasks at various heights, utilizing proper safety equipment and techniques.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualities:

• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Ability to read, interpret and carry out written and oral instructions.
• Highly motivated with a willingness to work outdoors in extreme temperatures.

Education, Training, Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiar with tools used in the HVAC trade.

Certificates, Registrations, Licenses:

• Valid Oklahoma driver’s license, or the ability to convert within 30 days for those with an out of state driver’s license that are an Oklahoma resident.

Physical/Mental Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Must be able to walk, climb stairs, crawl, work from ladders and elevated platforms.
• Ability to lift, move and carry weights of up to 50 lb. on a regular basis.
• Must possess mental, visual, and auditory acuity for attention to visual and auditory detail.
• Must maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Work environment ranges from an office environment to outdoors and/or indoors in high noise/high temperature environment.

Other information:

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Position is located at the Administrative Center in Chouteau, OK.
• Work will also be performed at different sites throughout the Authority
