GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Child Care and Development Area Director provide strategic leadership and oversight for assigned programs and Child Care and Development sites throughout Cherokee Nation Reservation. This role ensures the delivery of highquality, developmentally appropriate services that support the growth and well-being of children and families.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or Business Administration or related field.
• Five (5) years of experience in a related field.
• Previous supervising experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
• Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for childcare.

The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
