Industrial Coating Technician
Shift: Day Shift (Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
Starting Pay: $15.00–$17.00/hour (DOE)
Action Group Staffing is seeking a dependable Industrial Coating Technician to join a growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for preparing and coating metal components using industrial finishing processes while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards. The ideal candidate has experience with industrial or automotive painting, enjoys hands-on work, and takes pride in producing high-quality finished products.

This position is responsible for preparing and coating metal components using industrial finishing processes while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards. The ideal candidate has experience with industrial or automotive painting, enjoys hands-on work, and takes pride in producing high-quality finished products.
Responsibilities
- Prepare metal surfaces by sanding, grinding, masking, and filling imperfections.
- Mix and apply primers, paints, and industrial coatings using spray equipment.
- Inspect coated surfaces and identify defects requiring correction.
- Set up, clean, and maintain paint equipment and work areas.
- Monitor coating thickness and overall finish quality.
- Follow all safety procedures for handling paints, coatings, and related chemicals.
- Assist with troubleshooting coating or material issues as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform other production duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous industrial or automotive painting experience preferred.
- Experience using spray equipment and coating systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of surface preparation and finishing techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Reliable transportation.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
- Starting pay of $15.00–$17.00/hour, based on experience.
- Monday–Friday 6:00 AM–2:30 PM schedule.
