Metal Finishing Technician
Shift: Day Shift (Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
Starting Pay: $15-16/hour (DOE)
Action Group Staffing is seeking a dependable Metal Finishing Technician to join a growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for preparing metal components for production by grinding, sanding, polishing, and removing surface imperfections. Action Group Staffing is seeking a dependable Metal Finishing Technician to join a growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for preparing metal components for production by grinding, sanding, polishing, and removing surface imperfections. Responsibilities
- Grind, sand, and polish metal components to meet quality specifications.
- Remove burrs, rough edges, weld splatter, and other surface imperfections.
- Prepare metal parts for painting, coating, assembly, or final production.
- Select and use appropriate abrasives, grinders, sanders, and finishing tools.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Perform minor repairs to surface defects as needed.
- Safely operate hand tools and power tools.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
- Assist with other production duties as assigned.
- Previous manufacturing or metal finishing experience preferred.
- Experience using grinders, sanders, or other metal finishing equipment is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Reliable transportation.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
- Starting pay of $17.00–$18.00/hour, based on experience.
- Monday–Friday 6:00 AM–2:30 PM schedule.
