Starting Pay: $17.00–$20.00/hour + $3.00/hour shift differentialAction Group Staffing is seeking a dependable Sandblaster to join our overnight production team. This position is responsible for operating a high-pressure sandblast booth to prepare truck body components for powder coating. This position is responsible for operating a high-pressure sandblast booth to prepare truck body components for powder coating. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and takes pride in producing clean, quality surfaces that are ready for the finishing process.Responsibilities
- Operate high-pressure sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare metal components.
- Remove rust, mill scale, weld slag, and other surface contaminants.
- Prepare blasted parts for the powder coating process.
- Inspect parts to ensure surfaces meet quality standards before coating.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Maintain sandblasting equipment and keep the blast booth clean and organized.
- Work efficiently to meet daily production goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Previous sandblasting, manufacturing, or industrial production experience preferred.
- Experience operating hand and power tools is a plus.
- Ability to work safely in a high-pressure sandblast environment while wearing required PPE.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
- Starting pay of $17.00–$20.00/hour, based on experience.
- $3.00/hour shift differential for overnight employees.
- Eligible temp-to-hire employees receive a $1.00/hour attendance incentive after 30 days of employment.
