Action Group Staffing is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Medical Administrative Assistant for a growing family healthcare clinic. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in healthcare while gaining valuable clinical experience.The position begins with front office administrative responsibilities and includes employer-provided training to obtain and document patient vital signs under the supervision of the clinic's licensed medical provider. No prior clinical experience is required—we're looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and a willingness to learn.Responsibilities
  • Welcome and assist patients in a professional and compassionate manner
  • Answer phones and schedule patient appointments
  • Verify patient information and maintain accurate medical records
  • Process paperwork, referrals, and general office documentation
  • Collect patient payments as needed
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements
  • Coordinate patient flow throughout the clinic
  • After training, obtain and accurately document patient vital signs
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms
  • Assist with general clinic operations while providing exceptional patient service
Qualifications
  • Previous administrative, receptionist, customer service, or medical office experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer and data entry skills
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Desire to learn new skills and grow within a healthcare setting
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
Requirements
  • Employer-provided HIPAA training required
  • Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality
  • Background screening and drug screening required
  • Backgrounds reviewed on a case-by-case basis; no convictions involving violent crimes, sexual offenses, financial crimes, or fraud
  • Reliable transportation and excellent attendance
